Living in Moshi

Moshi is a beautiful town at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s clean, safe, and friendly, with about 200,000 people (2017) most from the Chagga tribe and mix other Tanzanian cultures. The town is just 50 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport and has nice, cool weather because of the mountain. 

During your volunteering or internship, you will stay at our comfortable hostel with other participants. In your free time, you can enjoy Moshi’s cafes, restaurants, local markets, live music, nightclubs, or join fun workshops like African dance or maasai jewelry making.

We also arrange weekend trips to Chemka Hot Springs, Materuni Waterfalls with a coffee tour, and Maasai villages visit. For bigger adventures, you can go on safaris, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro or Mt. Meru, or relax on the beaches of Zanzibar.
